AMANDA SCHMIDT

Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Amanda Schmidt was born and raised in the PA Wilds Region of North Central Pennsylvania, where she developed a love for the Allegheny Mountains and family fishing trips that deepened her appreciation for nature and close relationships. From a young age, she knew she wanted to work in the funeral profession, drawn to the idea of helping others through times of loss.

Before pursuing that calling, Amanda began her career in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Phlebotomist. Her years of service in nursing homes allowed her to care for people with kindness and compassion—qualities that define her work to this day.

After meeting the love of her life, Nick, Amanda relocated to Florida, where they began their family and new careers together. She earned her Associate of Science degree in Funeral Services from St. Petersburg College and began working with local funeral homes and care facilities in the Tampa area in 2019.

Amanda brings to Segal Funeral Home a heartfelt dedication to supporting families through one of life’s most difficult moments. She believes no one should have to face loss alone and is committed to guiding others with empathy, care, and respect.

Outside of her professional life, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband Nick, their sons Gavin, Damien, and Dean, and their terrier, Minnie. She loves hiking, visiting the beach, reading, watching scary movies, and exploring history.
