Kat has a deep-rooted passion for honoring lives and supporting families through their most tender moments. Kat brings compassion and dedication to her role as a funeral director. Her journey into this profession was born from a desire to make a meaningful difference. After studying at John A Gupton College in Nashville, Tennessee and receiving her National board exam accreditations for Funeral service in December of 2020; Kat decided to move to Florida to set stronger roots in the ever so growing community of Fort Myers, FL.
She passed her Florida state law exam in July of 2022 after completing her internship at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. After a few years of dedicated work at the gardens, it was time to venture into a smaller and more close knit community like the one Segal Funeral Home has nurtured over many decades. Where her promise to serve each family is nurtured to her greatest potential. Outside of work, Kat finds joy and renewal in the great outdoors. Whether she's kayaking, hiking, or scuba diving, she embraces the beauty of every landscape the world has to offer. On quieter days, she enjoys crafting, tending to her garden, and playing music, especially as a proud member of local community bands. Before relocating to the Tampa area, she performed with the Lee County Community Band, where her love for music had a second life after not playing with a band for over 5 years. Her life is a blend of service and soul, and she’s honored to walk alongside families with empathy and a heart full of purpose.
