Troy Neal Baxley was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Capitola and Charles Baxley. At the age of 13 he joined the Oklahoma National Guard, while enrolled he served in the Korean War and at the age of 16 had garnered the rank of Seargent. Troy then went on to serve two tours in Germany and 3 years in Vietnam and retired in 1972 as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army.
After retirement he moved to Tampa, Florida and began attending the University of Tampa and within two years had graduated with a business degree.
On August 5, 1978 he married the love of his life, Priscilla in Lakeland Florida surrounded by friends and family. Between Priscilla and Troy they have many children.
Troy went on to head the Florida Token Kai Organization first as Vice President for 10 years and ultimately as President, also for 10 years. The Florida Token Kai was one of the largest of the organization in the United Stated with, at one point, 450 members.
During the latter protion of his life he enjoyed family and friends and looked forward to sharing in all their lifes endeavors. He will be greatly missed.
Services will take place May 4, 2022 at 2 Pm at Segal Funeral Home (3909 Henderson Blvd. Tampa, FL 33629)
Interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
