Tomas Zepeda passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on
February 16, 2022, at the age of 88. The son of Ester Portillo Zepeda and Jesus Zepeda, Tomas was born in El Paso, TX. He proudly served his country with the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team during the Korean Conflict. His life of service continued with his career in the Louisville Police Department, DEA (formerly FBN and BNDD), and the US
Department of State before retiring to Osprey, FL.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carolyn Christie Zepeda; his five
children Nora Zepeda Polzin and son-in-law Randy of Las Vegas, NV, Tomas
Scott Zepeda and daughter-in-law Debra of Tampa, FL, Troy Michael Zepeda and daughter-in-law Vanessa of Tampa, FL, Christie Pilar Zepeda, Craig Martin Zepeda and son-in-law Robert Leudemann of Horsfield Bay, Australia; five grandchildren Randy Polzin Jr. and his wife Vanessa, Lisa Marie Polzin, Zoe Isabella Zepeda, Mateo Zepeda, and Marcos Zepeda; three great-grandchildren, Randy Polzin III, Jacob Polzin, and Alexis Polzin; brother-in-law Robert Christie and his wife Betty Jo, nephews Earl Thomas, Eddie Thomas, James Thomas, Bruce Thomas, and Todd Christie and niece Linda Thomas
Ramirez.
Services will be held Monday, February 28, 2022 at 12:30 PM and can be attended via Zoom with the link below:
