Thomas Chesler

CHESLER, Thomas "Tom", age 78 of Tampa died Sunday, April 22, 2012. Mr. Chesler came to Tampa in 1973 from his native Ohio. He was a pharmacist, a graduate of Ohio Northern University and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the former Beth Israel Congregation, a former member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom and a member of Congregation Kol Ami. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Harriet, sons and daughters-in-law, Max & Pam Chesler of Tampa and Eric & Sherry Chesler of Atlanta, GA, daughters and sons- in- law, Karen & Jeffrey Tashman of Woodstock, NY, and Debi & Manuel Wolfe of Hudson, FL, sister, Rhoda Robuck, Cleveland, OH and cherished grandchildren, Michael, Philip, Samantha,Shayne, Ben, Rebecca, Sarah, Danielle, Jake, Melissa & Lauren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today, (Tuesday) 12:30 PM at Congregation Kol Ami, 3919 Moran Road, Tampa.Interment will follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Kol Ami, the American Kidney Association, www.kidneyfund.org or Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org
The family will observe Shiva at their residence, 6511 Grazing Lane, Odessa, Tuesday thru Sunday with a minyan service at 7:30 PM each night with the exception of Saturday which the time will be determined at a later date.
