Tanya Goldstein

Tanya Goldstein, of Tampa, passed away at the age of 85 on January 28, 2012. Born in Minsk, Russia, on July 20, 1926, Tanya later immigrated to the United States by way of Atlanta, Georgia in 1965, and shortly thereafter moved to Tampa, Florida, which has been her home for more than 30 years. Tanya is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 64 years, Meyer Goldstein, as well as their two children Lisa Zaritsky (Tampa) and Aaron Goldstein (London, England), and three grandchildren: Michael Zaritsky (Tampa), Dr. Paul Zaritsky (Tampa) and Jennifer Zaritsky (Tierra Verde), and three great-grandchildren: Ava Zaritsky (Tampa), Wilson Zaritsky (Tampa) and Elektra Zaritsky (Tampa).

Undeniably kindhearted, loving, giving, and talented, Tanya also loved to travel and was famous for her exceptional culinary skills. An anchor of wisdom and support for all who sought her out, Tanya was, and always will be, an inspiration to her family and friends. We will miss her and we will always remember her with heartfelt affection.

Funeral services will be held graveside at Myrtle Hill Cemetery at 1:00 PM on Tuesday January 31st. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holocaust Emergency Fund, located at 14041 Icot Boulevard, Clearwater, Florida 33760. (727) 479-1811, attn. to Judy Roth.
