Sue Sutker

SUTKER, Sue, age 80 of Tampa died October 6, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Sutker was born in Waterbury, CT and came to Tampa as a child. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and attended the University of Tampa and was known for her cooking class, "Sue Sutker's Creative Cooking" which she operated within Maas Brothers Department Store for over 15 years. She was a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek, Schaarai Zedek Sisterhood, Chaine de Rotisseur, The Chiselers and was an active volunteer for many worthy organizations including, March of Dimes and Friends of the Arts. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Dr. Harold Sutker. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Charles & Shelia Sutker of Alton, IL, daughter and son-in-law, Dory Sutker & Charles Chesanow of Manchester, NH, brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert & Elinor Turkel and Richard & Sandy Turkel all of Tampa, four grandchildren,three cherished great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews in Tampa. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, October 10, 2011 at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 W. Swann Avenue, Tampa. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Schaarai Zedek or Tampa Meals on Wheels.
