Stephen Howard Rubin

Stephen Howard Rubin passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Monica Rubin; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Lauren Rubin; grandchildren, Natalie and Nathan Rubin; his son, Ryan Rubin; grandson Owen Rubin; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Elizabeth Rubin; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Marjorie Rubin, and his brother, Kenneth Rubin.
Steve was born in Providence, Rhode Island. After moving to Worcester, Massachusetts, and finishing high school there, he earned his degree from the University of Massachusetts, and his masters degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. Steve had a career in social work, serving children, families and the elderly.
He also loved sports, especially the Red Sox, and enjoyed coaching both of his sons' soccer teams.
Steve was energetic and enthusiastic, always jumping at the chance to spend time with his family. He was extremely genuine and wanted to help with anything he could. We have so many fun and hilarious memories of him and miss him greatly. 
A private service was held on Thursday, January 25, and a larger memorial celebration will be held in the future.
