BORELL, Stacy Brooke, age 28 of Tampa died Thursday, September 13, 2012 in Africa. Stacy was born in Silver Spring, Maryland and came to Tampa in 1996 from Scotch Plains, New Jersey. She was a graduate of Berkeley Preperatory School after which she did her under-graduate work at Indiana University and graduated USF with her Bachelors Degree in Social Work. She was able to follow her passion and love of children, the elderly and animals and utilize her talents by caring for orphaned children in Africa. She died while fullfilling her dream. Stacy lived life and loved with intensity. She was a spirited individual who exuded thoughtfulness with a sense of humor and zest. She embraced life and celebrated that which was good in each and every person's life in her very own special way. Survivors include her parents; mother, Barbara Borell, father and step-mother, Martin & Janie Borell all of Tampa, brothers and sister-in-law, Jonathan and Emily Borell and Erik Fischer and his girlfriend, Melanie Krinsky all of New York, NY, sister, Carly Fischer of New York, NY, her grandmothers, Phyllis Borell of Tampa, June Green of Sarasota and Arline Goodman of Floral Park, NY and her cherished dog, Nathan. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, 3:00 PM at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 West Swann Avenue, Tampa with Rabbi Richard Birnholz and Rabbi Mendy Dubrowski officiating. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stacy Borell Humanitarian Foundation which is being established to support causes that were most meaningful to Stacy.
