Sol Maskin

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Sol Maskin, who passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Sol was the husband of Dorothy Maskin and the father of Dr Steven Maskin and Susan Hinchey and grandfather of Benjamin, Jacob, David, and Sarah Maskin.

Sol served in the Army during World War 11, received an Honorable Discharge and was decorated with four medals including the Army of Occupation Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, World War 11 Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

Sol was a kind, gentle and caring man devoted to his family. He was friendly to all and all that knew him loved him. He had extraordinary patience that was on full display during his many decades doing what he loved...coaching kids in New York's Rockville Centre Little League youth baseball and basketball leagues. He was an ever present father, always available to provide advice or simply listen.
