Shelley Herzog

HERZOG, Rachelle " Shelley", age 71, of Tampa died Monday, January 26th, 2015. Shelley moved to Tampa 36 years ago from her native New Jersey. She was a beloved teacher at Hillel Academy. Her commitment to education spanned generations during her 28 year tenure and she was the recipient of the Green Spoon Award and was the chosen honoree at the schools annual Gift of Gold reception. She was a dedicated member of Congregation Kol Ami having served as the congregation's first vice president and former sisterhood president and was a life member of Hadassah. Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Herb Herzog; daughter and son-in-law, Eileen & Brad Kantor of Tampa, son and daughter-in-law, Hal and Dana Herzog of Washington, D.C., and three cherishd grandsons, Michael, Joshua, and Benjamin Kantor. Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday), at Congregation Kol Ami, 3919 Moran Road, Tampa. Interment to follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillel Academy or to the charity of one's choice. Shiva will be observed at the home of Brad and Eileen Kantor, 15003 Otto Rd., Tampa Wednesday, Thursday- Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 7:30 PM.
