Sharon Stevens, loving wife, loyal friend, dedicated educator, animal lover, and undeniable force of nature, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on November 26, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and laughter. A woman with a feisty spirit and a heart of gold, Sharon was never one to back down from what she believed in, but her love for those she cared about was unshakable and boundless.A dedicated teacher for over 35 years, Sharon made an impact on generations of students. She was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to someone in need. She loved deeply, and fiercely, and those who were fortunate enough to know her were treated like family. She enjoyed frequent trips with David to Oregon – her happy place – where she spent time with her niece, Monica, whom she considered a daughter, her husband Jack, and her three children who Sharon embraced as her own grandchildren. She shared her life with her cherished pets, including Chantilly, Simba, and Aly.Sharon is survived by her loving husband 35 years, David Stevens, his four children, Patrick Stevens, Amy Stevens, Matthew Stevens, and Kelli Stevens, and grandchildren, Caden Stevens, Lyla Stevens, and Ophelia Stevens, and her nieces Monica Kavalieros and her husband Jack Kavalieros and their three children Julia, Madelyn, and Ethan, and her niece Jessica Weinstein and her daughter Lorelei Garth, and countless loved ones.A service will take place at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday, December 1 at 11:00am, where family and friends will gather to honor a woman who touched so many lives.
