Ruth Hoffer

HOFFER, Ruth 88, of Tampa, died on Monday, July 9, 2012. Mrs Hoffer was born and raised in New York City and came to Tampa in 2005. She was dedicated to her family and was a life-long lover of animals. For many years she was an elementary school teacher at the Yeshiva of Central Queens. She was preceded in death by Herbert Hoffer, her beloved husband of 56 years. Her survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Ann Hoffer of Douglaston, NY, and Jay and Polly Hoffer of Lutz; and her three grandchildren. Interment was held at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, NY. Memorial gifts may be made to Southeastern Guide Dogs, 4210 77th Street East, Palmetto, Florida 34221. Funeral Services will be held on July 25, 2012 at Rodeph Sholom at 7:30pm in Tampa, FL.
