Ruby Gornbein

GORNBEIN, Ruby Feldman, age 83 of Tampa, formerly of Palm Harbor died Friday, February 25, 2011. Mrs. Gornbein was born in Toronto, Canada and came to the Bay Area in 1983 after residing in Buffalo, NY for 20 years. She was an accountant, a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, life member of Hadassah and was a writer. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, Joseph. Survivors include her sons and daughters -in- law, Alfred H. & Eve-Lynn of Tampa, David C. & Valerie of Westport, CT, daughter, Cynthia E. Gornbein of Tampa, she was the cherished Bubbe of five grandchildren, Sally, Joseph, Chase, Cody & Logan and her sisters, Lillian Finkler, Toronto, Can. and Betty Van Rijk, Atlanta, GA. Graveside services will be held Monday, 2:00 PM at Curlew Hills Memorial Gardens in Palm Harbor. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah or to the charity of ones choice.
