Richard "Rick" Pippinger, age 76, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2023, in Tampa, FL. He was born on April 28, 1947, in Coral Gables, FL. Rick will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather.
Rick embarked on his 50 year career in law at the Office of the Attorney General. His unwavering
commitment and legal expertise led him to a successful private practice.
Beyond his professional achievements, Rick had a unique way of bringing laughter into the lives of those around him. His witty humor, intelligence, and cleverness endeared him to friends and colleagues alike.
Football season brought him joy as he passionately cheered on the Florida State Seminoles. Supporting his home teams, the Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was a source of excitement for him. Many years were also spent honing his skills on the golf course and enjoying time in the water with Masters swimming.
Above all, Rick valued his family and loved ones. Throughout his 50-year marriage, he shared a deep bond of love and companionship with his wife, Barbara Pippinger. Together, they cultivated a nurturing environment for their children, R. Brian Pippinger-Smith (Gregory) and Katherine Pippinger Werner, who both hold their father's memory close to their hearts. Rick's grandson, Freddie Werner, was a source of immeasurable pride and joy. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Maxine and Ernest Pippinger, as well as his brother, Russell Pippinger.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 2, 2023, from 1 - 4 pm at 14044 Shady Shores Dr.,
Tampa, FL 33613—an occasion to honor Rick's life and share memories among friends and family.

Rick's memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love,
dedication, and wit will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. His family would like to thank all friends and loved ones that have impacted their lives in immeasurable ways over the years.
