Norma Jean “Jeannie” Dobbs

Norma Jean, “Jeannie” Dobbs, 85, of Tampa passed away peacefully on Friday, September 29^th, 2023.  She was one day shy of her 86^th birthday.  Jeannie was survived by her daughters, Kathy Leapley and Karen Garms and Son-in-law, Kameron Garms; Grandchildren: Christina Patterson (Jeremy), Kimberly Seligman (Ryan), Kevin Fadely (Taylor), Shelby Garms and Kyle Garms (Karson).  Jeannie was also survived by 6 Great grand-children, Matthew, Reagan, Evan, Aaron, Kacie and Isabelle.

Jeannie was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Virginia and her loving husband Jack Dobbs.

In life, Jeannie was originally from South Carolina, moving to Florida at the age of 17 where she met her husband Jack of 64 years.  Jeannie was a fun-loving woman with many talents.  She was an artist and enjoyed oil painting and making pottery.  She was a great southern cook and an excellent seamstress.  She worked a number of years in banking and retail sales.  Jeannie was a loving and caring wife and mother who had a zest for life and she will be missed by all.

There will be graveside services on Wednesday, October 4^th, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens at 2323 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL  33511.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Jeannie’s name.
