Morrie Boas

BOAS, Morrie G., 86, of Tampa, died Sunday, May 25, 2008. Preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Janis Boas who died in 1987, and his wife Jean with whom he spent 10 wonderful years before her death in 1997. Survivors include his son William Boas and wife Beverly; daughter Linda Krause and husband Pat; sister Bette Freundich; sister-in-law Marge Canfield; and 4 grandchildren, Micki and Jessica Boas and Matthew and Julie Krause. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan, and was a retired Shipping Executive, a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek, and a resident of University Village. Morrie was an avid golfer and bridge player. A Memorial Service will take place at 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 28, at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 W. Swann Avenue, Tampa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to T.O.P. Jewish Foundation, Janis Boas Fund.
