Michael Frayn

FRAYN, Sgt. Michael, age 49 of Lutz died Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Mr. Frayn was born in St. Louis, Missouri and came to Tampa 10 years ago.

He was a graduate of Missouri University and served proudly as a US Marine for eight years. He was a dedicated veteran devoting a lot of his energy and time to numerous veteran organizations including the Son's of the American Revolution- Tampa Chapter (Past Treasurer), the U.S.O, the American Legion post 0208 and along with his family, volunteered at the James A. Haley Veteran Wheelchair Olympics, participated in the Wreaths across America and was a Honor Fight escort honoring the servicemen of WWII. He is survived by his loving wife, Leigh, parents, Norman & Bette Frayn of St. Louis, MO, daughter, Amanda Raphael and her friend Kyle Nichols of Lakeland, son and daughter-in-law, Justin & Christina Raphael of Tampa, brother and sister-in-law, Stephen & Julie Frayn of St. Louis, MO and nieces, Stephanie Frayn, Michelle Frayn and Lauren Niewald (Adam). Graveside services with full military honors will be held Friday, 12:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to any of the Veteran organizations of which Michael dedicated his time.
