Michael Fleeter

Dr. Michael Aaron Fleeter passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016, after a short Illness surrounded by family and friends. He was 54. Born in Queens, NY, and was raised in Smithtown, NY. He resided in Lithia.Dr. Fleeter was a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, Hobart and William Smith Colleges and Smithtown East High School. Dr. Fleeter was a founding partner of the Foot and Ankle Center of Tampa since 1989. Michael was a member Congregation Schaarai Zedek in Tampa. He loved to exercise, garden and travel. Michael was an avid sports enthusiast and Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan And never missed a game in 20 years. He was connoisseur of whiskey and cigars in which he enjoyed and shared in the company of friends. Michael's favorite holiday was Halloween and would spend weeks decorating the house. His love of family, friends and zest for life were surpassed by none.His mother Annette Fleeter died in 2013.Surviving is his beloved wife Lori (nAC.e Perez) of 22 years and his daughter Jessica, father Robert Fleeter, sister Michele and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.Funeral Service will be a private family gathering at Beth Israel Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow Monday, June 6, at 5 p.m. at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 W. Swann Avenue, Tampa, followed by Shiva at 7:30 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Jewish National Fund at www.jnf.org
