Matthew Heilman

HEILMAN, Matthew Lucas, age 24, of Thornwood, NY died Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Tampa, FL as a result of a motorcycle accident. Matthew was a lifelong resident of New York. He was a graduate of the University of Tampa. Matt had a love of sports, playing football, baseball and basketball and was a consummate fan especially when it came to his Jets, Knicks and Mets. He was outgoing and celebrated his life and the love of his family and friends. Matthew was very spiritual and his life will continue through those he touched and the memory of his zest for life. Survivors include his parents, George & Patty Heilman and sister, Emily all of Thornwood, NY half sister, Thea Woolfson (Jeff) of Hallandale, FL., and grandfather, John Villalva of Palm City, FL. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 31st, 2:00 PM at the Valhalla United Methodist Church, 200 Columbus Avenue in Valhalla. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Matthew's memory to the Sukyo Mahikari, 124 East 31st Street, New York, NY 10016. THE FAMILY WILL RECIEVE FRIENDS AT THE HEILMAN RESIDENCE ON THURSDAY 5 to 8 PM, FRIDAY 4 to 7 PM and SATURDAY 2 to 4 PM.
