Mary Hazzard

Mary Ellen Hazzard, 86, began her starry walk on July 12, 2008. She is survived by her daughter Petra Sussman with her husband Joshua; grandson Sean Marcus with his wife Jessica and their son Beckett all of Tampa; grandson Aarrun Marcus in Aurora, Colorado; and her brother John Thomas Steptoe, his daughter Jennifer and son Jeffrey in Bothell, Washington. Mary Ellen was always quick with a joke or poem for every occasion and enjoyed entertaining friends in the myriad organizations to which she belonged. There will be a celebration of life at Segal Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 16, at 10:00 a.m. She will be interred in Vidalia, Georgia on Thursday.
