Marvin Lutzker

–

Wimauma, Florida

Marvin Lutzker, affectionately known as Marv, was a beacon of light in our lives, radiating warmth and energy that drew people towards him. Born on March 5, 1934, in New York, New York, he carried the city's resilience and vibrant spirit with him throughout his life. Marvin was a dedicated man, known for his unwavering commitment to his family, career, and community. As a executive vice president for Allied department store, he demonstrated his thoughtful and kind leadership, turning mere acquaintances into lifelong friends. His thoughtful nature radiated through his hobbies in his younger years, which included tennis, playing cards, and being actively involved in his local temple. A lover of the beach and a seasoned traveler, Marvin's adventures took him from New York to Pittsburgh, Tampa, Houston Texas, Miami Florida, Richmond Virginia, and finally settling in Tampa. His life revolved around his beloved wife, Renee, who was his partner in every sense of the word. Their love was a testament to the saying, "To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides." Through their love they were dedicated and attentive parents to their two daughters Ivy and Stefanie.

Marvin is survived by his daughters, Ivy Lutzker and her partner (Donney Haynes) and Stefanie Lannon, along with her husband Jimmy, and his sister Rhea Rein, with her husband Harry who became Marvin's lifetime best friend, and nieces and nephews.

A heartfelt gratitude to those who aided in Marvin's care, Debra (Scott) Michaud, family friend Terri Estrin, his caregivers Monique Roland and her daughter Logan, Lourdes Smith and Shirley Bruney Mayers.

Marvin was preceded in passing by his beloved wife Renee, father Leon Lutzker, his mother, Sarah (Black) Lutzker, and his son-in-law, Bob Smith.

Many who had the pleasure in meeting Marvin would know that he lived by the moto "It cost nothing to be kind."

Marvin's life was a celebration of love, commitment, and resilience; his light continues to shine in our hearts. Please share your memories and upload photographs of Marvin on the memorial page, to celebrate his remarkable life.
