Homosassa

Marshall Joseph Arkin entered into rest on August 8, 2024.

"My beloved husband, Marshall, was a loving and devoted man.  Very warm and giving to family and friends alike.  He was a kind, quiet person; never condescending.  In our home state of Massachusetts where we were born and lived until moving here, he was a member of the Brotherhood, Temple, and "honorary" Sisterhood member, as he always volunteered himself to help us!  He set up and broke down tables and chairs for all events to help support the Hebrew school.

He belonged to MENSA, the "ultra" high IQ organization, which started in England in 1946.  He was among the first few to be chosen to join in the United States of America.  We have always been so proud.  He belonged to Lion's Club in Massachusetts and Florida as well as the Moses Michael Hayes (Jewish) Masons Club, and many other work-associated groups.  He was always supportive of Jewish institutions, charities, and entities, plus heart, cancer, and children's charities and causes.

He had a heart of gold and was our treasure!  We love you, my darling husband and father to David and Seth.  You are our greatest gift and we mourn your loss. We thank G-d for you but find solace knowing you are sitting at "His right hand," loving and protecting us, your family; His people Israel, and mankind in general.  Lehitraot and Lilatov Mortek Shalee.  You are in our hearts always.  We miss you so much.  Our gratitude to Rabbi Blatt and Chuck Segal for their help and support on this most sad day in our lives, on this eve of Tishu B'Av.

He entered into rest one hour and five minutes after Rabbi Blatt left his bedside, where she beautifully chanted prayers for him.  Seth and I are so grateful she saw him into peace."
