Maria Waksman

WAKSMAN, Maria, age 89 of Tampa died Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Mrs. Waksman came to Tampa in 1961 from her native Cuba. Through her warmth and kindness her true calling was her family. She was the family historian and never forgot a birthday, family milestone or an opportunity to strengthen family ties. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Gregory Waksman and devoted sister Sima Altman. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ben & Dottie Waksman, Sergio & Karen Waksman and Albert & Susan Waksman, all of Tampa,  brother and sister-in-law, Carlos and Lydia Don of Miami, seven cherished grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday 1:00 PM at Congregation Rodeph Sholom, 2713 Bayshore Blvd., Tampa. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Rodeph Sholom or other charities to benefit Jewish causes.

SHIVA will be held Thursday, December 6 at 7:00PM at Congregation Rodeph Sholom. Saturday December 8, and Sunday December 9 at 7:00 PM at the home of Albert and Susan Waksman 4132  Causeway Vista Drive. Tampa, FL 33615
