Marcia Bender

Marcia Bender, age 79, died Monday, December 28, 2009. She was a devoted teacher at Carrollwood Elementary School for over 30 years, a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek and Brandeis Women's. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Herbert. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Janet & Michael Collins and Karla Dorsey all of Tampa, grandchildren, Sarah & Michael Dorsey and her sister, Jean Ackerman of New York. She will be remembered most for her love and dedication as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. A memorial service will be held Sunday, 10:30 AM at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 W. Swann Avenue, Tampa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lifepath Hospice or Congregation Schaarai Zedek.
