Lois Frank

Lois Shear Frank, age 80 lifelong resident of Tampa died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Frank was a 1948 graduate of Plant High School and attended the University of Alabama and University of Missouri. She had a passion for the theatre from her early teens and served as a docent at the Tampa Museum of Art for over 30 years. She was devoted to her family, friends, sports and the arts. She was a Tampa Bay Ray's and Yankee fan and an avid Buccaneers fan having held season tickets since their inception and attending her final Buc's game just 3 weeks ago. Survivors include her beloved husband of 60 years, Albert; daughter Nina Gerson of West Palm Beach; son and daughter-in-law Barry & Michele Frank of Palm Beach Gardens; brother and sister-in-law L. David & Casey Shear of Tampa; grandchildren Brian Robert Gerson and Tracy Robin Gerson; and nephews Stephen & Jeffrey Shear. Interment will be private. A memorial service will be held Friday, 11:00 AM at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 West Swann Avenue, Tampa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan), 2141 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245 or to the Tampa Museum of Art, 120 W. Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, FL 33602.
