In Loving Memory of Linda Kaplow

Linda Kaplow passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 5, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, laughter, family, and deep friendships. 

She was an avid tennis fan and competitive player. She loved (and sometimes hated) all Tampa Bay sports teams and could dazzle you with statistics, but she always held a special place in her heart for her beloved hometown Cleveland teams. 

Linda built a thriving career in finance, first at Colonial Penn Insurance, where she worked for many years, before moving on to Chase Bank. It was at Chase where she met her dear friend of 35 years, Beverly Sorokin. They shared a love of travel, taking several cruises together, venturing on a New England bus tour to see the fall colors, and enjoying day trips all over Florida. Linda cherished traditions, and one of her favorites was gathering for Sunday and Wednesday brunches. 

She was known for her sharp mind, quick wit, and deep knowledge of a wide range of topics. A great conversationalist, she could engage anyone in thoughtful discussion, whether about sports, history, or current events. 

She was the daughter of Molly and Max Kaplow, beloved sister to Phyllis (Ben) and Maurice (Judith), and aunt to Lawrence (Caren), Dan (Robin), and Brian (Lauren). She delighted in family news, celebrated every occasion, and traveled great distances to be part of every one of them. 

In her later years, she was cared for by her much-loved sister-in-law, Judith, who often traveled from Philadelphia to Tampa to ensure she was comfortable and well looked after by Marlene, Michelle, Yuni, and the entire staff at Inspired Living, who will miss her dearly. 

Her favorite drink was a Bombay Sapphire martini, and she will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
