Laura Rodriguez

Laura Rodriguez passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Friday, February 9. Laura was born to Ed and Evelyn Kurtzeborn on May 21, 1939, in Evansville, Indiana. Her family later moved to Tampa when she was 8 years old. As a child, she attended Gorrie Elementary, Wilson Jr. High and Plant High School. Laura continued to live and work in Tampa all her adult life where she raised her family. She worked for many years at Williams Pharmacy and later Westshore Pharmacy.

Laura is preceded in death by her husband Fermin Rodriguez. Laura is survived by her sons - Guy Jordan and his wife Sylvia (Tallahassee), David Jordan and his wife Penny (Tampa), Chris Jordan (Tampa), Jon Jordan (Tampa), her grandchildren - Matt Jordan (Alexandria, VA), Josh Jordan (Tallahassee), Andrew Jordan (Tampa), Emma Jordan (Tampa -FSU), her brother - Eddie Kurtzeborn and his wife Julie (Hudson). 

Laura enjoyed extensive travel with her husband, Fermin; together they were able to visit many far-reaching corners of the world. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach and gardening in her yard. But, what she loved most of all - was being with her family and friends! For now, we will grieve and miss you dearly, but through our faith, we know we will have the opportunity to be together again!

A celebration of Laura’s life will be held on March 4, 2024 at 11AM at Segal Funeral Home.
