Larry Jones

Lawrence F. Jones (Larry) was born on July 1, 1948 in Germany and passed away on June 25, 2016 in Gainesville, Florida. Lawrence is a graduate of RHS Tampa, Class of '66. Lawrence served in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970, earning the National Defense and Vietnam Service Medals along with the Navy Unit Commendation and Combat Action Ribbons. He was a USF graduate where he earned Finance and Accounting degrees, and completed his education with an MBA from Kent State University. Lawrence had a successful career as an internal auditor for multiple global corporations where he traveled extensively between the US, Canada and Asia. Preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Thelma Jones and is survived by his children; Ryan W. Jones, John T. Jones (Tina) and Lauren O. Jones. He leaves behind his brother, Anthony (Tony) Jones (Ruth) and sisters Karla Werner (Bob) and Shannon Rardon, as well as three nieces, one nephew, several great-nieces and great-nephew, and many cousins. An informal visitation with family is scheduled for 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 23rd, at Segal Funeral Home, 3909 Henderson Boulevard, Tampa.
