Joseph Stern

STERN, Joseph, age 77 of Tampa died Monday, May 23, 2011. Mr. Stern was born in London, England and served in the Royal Airforce. He was a graduate of East End College in London and was a publisher with Random House and later with Total Tape and Amphoto. He was a member of Congregation Kol Ami and volunteered at University Community Hospital where he was instrumental in starting the "Tree of Life" program to honor cancer patients. Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Susan, son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd & Jan Stern of Odessa, daughter and son-in-law, Samantha & Wayne Huneycutt of Oxford, NC, granddaughter, Lauren Faith Stern, sisters Dora Nathan, Boca Raton & Anita Taylor of London, England and several nieces and nephews including Shelly Smith of Boca Raton. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 AM at Gan Shalom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Kol Ami or Lifepath Hospice.
