Jonathan Passley returned home to Jesus on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at age 36 after a courageous cancer battle. His devotion to his family and his firm foundation in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Jonathan was born in Baltimore, Maryland. At an early age after being diagnosed with a form of rheumatoid arthritis, Jonathan learned that even in the most difficult circumstances, never give up on accomplishing your goals/dreams. Jonathan got through those difficult times with the support of his father, mother, and two older brothers.
After enrolling in college at Morgan State University, the entrepreneurial bug bit Jonathan. Jonathan decided to stay in school but prayed for clarity to take that next faithful step. After being inexplicably fired from a job he loathed, he took that as a sign to start his own business – PDR Web Solutions – the following day in 2008.
Jonathan met his wife, Nikeita in 2010. They married three years later - March 30, 2013, and went on to have two children. As Jonathan and Nikeita welcomed their first son in 2016, they found out two months later that Jonathan was diagnosed with a rare cancer that was determined upon diagnosis to be Stage IV.
After welcoming their second son in 2017, God instructed Jonathan to start a Non-Profit organization, Christians Battling Cancer to provide Biblical-based encouragement to those who have been diagnosed with cancer, as well as their caregivers; regardless of one’s tradition of faith.
Jonathan hit the ground running creating videos to share encouraging and inspiring messages throughout his cancer journey. This leap of faith became the catalyst for the creation of an International Facebook group that grew to be a safe haven for others to share their journey, hardships and successes alongside others who were also battling cancer.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Jonathan maintained an unwavering faith in God that always shined so brightly in everything that he did and accomplished.
Jonathan is survived by his wife Nikeita, sons, Parents, two Brothers and a host of nieces and nephews.
