John Dreyfus

John Dreyfus, age 93, passed away July 31, 2011. He was born July 3, 1918 in Boston, MA to Ella and Harry Dreyfus. John received his medical degree from Middlesex College and practiced medicine in Quincy, MA for nearly 50 years, first as a general practitioner and then as an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. He also served his country in the Army during the Korean War. His first wife Reva Pavan Dreyfus, son Lawrence Alan Dreyfus and his sister Rose Davis preceded John in death. Survivors include his children Michele. John moved to Florida after retirement and to Aston Gardens in 2003 where he met the lovely Gertrude Laxer, who later became his wife. They shared many wonderful years together. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Segal Funeral Home, 3909 Henderson Blvd. Burial will take place in Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Suncoast Hospice.
