Jimmie Wayne Gamble, age 76, lifelong resident of Tampa died Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Mr. Gamble was a retired Staff Sergeant having served during the Vietnam era in the US Air force. He was the owner of Slim Jim Tree Service that he operated for 25 years and a member of the National Arborist Association, Project Return where he served as a guardian, donated 19 gallons of blood and was an active member of his church and surrounding community. Preceeded in death by his son, Sidney Wayne Gamble and grandson, Matthew Franklin Gamble. Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Joyce, son and daughter-in-law, Jimmie David & Kim Gamble, daughters, Susan Jane Gamble, Meda Irene O'Donnell and Margaret Ann Parker, brother, Jack Gamble, sisters, Frances Miller, Shirley Anderson and Donetta Claus, grandchildren, Michael Parker, Kathryn Ann Atkinson. Amy Samantha Marrs, Daniel Franklin Marrs, Rachelle Le-Ann Gamble, Gareth Thomas Gamble and Marcus Edward Tomoff and great granddaughter, Ashlei Ray Parker. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2:00 PM at the New Beginnings Christian Church, 4100 S. Manhattan Avenue, Tampa. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
