Jacob Gottfried

Jacob L. "Jake" Gottfried, age 78 of Tampa died Friday, October 1, 2010. Mr. Gottfried came to Tampa 53 years ago from his native, Miami Beach. He was an architect and was a partner and practiced with Gottfried & Garcia Architects for 47 years. He was a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek, was past president of the Schaarai Zedek Brotherhood and was the architect in several of the expansions of the Schaarai Zedek Temple and Religious School to accommodate its growth over the years. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Debbra, daughters and sons-in-law, Erica & Sam Mandelbaum, Barrie & Chuck Slonim and Glynn & Bob Stoler, sister, Bea Franklin of Atlanta, GA., and six cherished grandchildren, Lia Beth Mandelbaum, Ben Joseph Mandelbaum, Arlie Slonim, Emma Drew Slonim, Leo Stoler and Grace Stoler. A memorial service will be held Monday, 5:00 PM. at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 W. Swann Avenue, Tampa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Schaarai Zedek
