Jack Chernoff

CHERNOFF, Jack, age 88 of Tampa died Thursday, April 23, 2015. Mr. Chernoff was born in Brooklyn, New York and came to Tampa in 1977 from Germany. He was an insurance agent with Metropolitan Life for over 25 years having worked in New York, New Jersey, Germany and Tampa. He was a member of the former Beth Israel Congregation in Tampa. Survivors include his beloved wife of 69 years, Edith, sons and daughters-in-law, Steven & Nanci Chernoff of Bellmore, NY, Michael Chernoff & Julie Worthington of Tampa and Louis & Janet Chernoff of Tallahassee, daughters and son-in-law, Randy & David Navo of Great Neck, NY, Karen Chernoff and her partner, Shelly Newman of Plainview, NY and Pamela Ferlazzo and the father of her children, Paul Ferlazzo of Lincoln Park, NY and ten cherished grandchildren, Aviam, Seth, Heather, Jeffrey, Samarah, Elliot, Eric, Danny, Raymond and Rebecca. Graveside services will be held Sunday, 10:00 AM at Gan Shalom Cemetery (3527 County Line Road). In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the USF Foundation, 4202 E. Fowler Avenue, Tampa, FL 33620.
