Isaac Solomon

SOLOMON, Isaac , 87, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, FL. Ike was born in Manhattan, New York and grew up in Harlem; his friends referred to him as "the Greek from Harlem." Ike joined the United States Army in 1945 serving in WWII as a Private First Class and was awarded the WWll Victory Medal. Ike also owned a Grocery/Produce store in New York. He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife for 72 years Bertha Solomon; daughter Sandra Solomon-Capaz; son Mark (Dolly) Solomon, son Lenny (Bonnie) Solomon; seven grandchildren, Desi (Grenna) Capaz, Jason (Deanna) Capaz, Brandi (Sean) DeDiego, Anna (Travis) Barlowe, Angel Solomon, Julian Solomon, and Nicholas Solomon; seven great grandchildren Taylor, Jason Jr., Janae, Jaila, Ava, Evan, and Deja; and daughter-in-law Annie Solomon. He was preceded in death by his son, Frank Solomon and his son-in-law, Amado Capaz. Isaac Solomon was a devoted man to his wife and his family, his love was unconditional. He will be remembered by his friends and family as being a strong, considerate, dependable, and loving man. His family and friends will gather to honor his life Friday April 10, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at Segal Funeral Home 3909 Henderson Blvd Tampa, FL 33629.
