Irwin Garten

GARTEN, Irwin, age 89 of Tampa died Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Mr. Garten was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Tampa recently from Boynton Beach. He was a Union President and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Joan Vera Garten. Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Nancy & Michael Shaw of Tampa and Leslie Conover of Lawrenceville, NJ, grandchildren, Allison Shaw-Rosenblatt (Richard), Evan Shaw, Andrew Shaw (Melanie), Michael Conover and Jenny Conover and great granddaughters, Emma & Kara Rosenblatt. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:30 AM at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 W. Swann Avenue, Tampa. Interment will follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery.
