Irene Rita Holton

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Irene Rita Holton, née Schneider, passed away on March 20, 2022 at home with immediate family after a long battle with cancer. Irene was born July 6, 1934 in Allentown, PA to parents Samuel and Florence Schneider. After graduating from Allentown High School, Irene worked as a dedicated mother and homemaker raising four children. Irene had a genuine love of life and an adventurous spirit. She and husband Jim visited all 48 continental states plus Alaska, Mexico, and Canada in their Airstream. They even rented an Airstream to explore New Zealand and Australia. She was always an avid athlete excelling in tennis, skiing, and golf. Irene also had a gift for connecting with others and easily made friends everywhere she went. A true social butterfly, she enjoyed participating in many clubs and groups since moving to The Villages over 20 years ago. Some of her favorite activities were playing bridge and mahjong, attending social gatherings with the Florida and Georgia clubs, and having driveway parties with her neighbors. Irene was preceded in death by her dear son Steven Seiff, and son-in-law Bradley Brown. Irene is survived by husband James Holton; children Alan Seiff, Roni Seiff-Brown, and Cindy Seiff; brother Irwin (Ellen) Schneider; grandchildren Samantha (Jeffrey) Golden, Stephanie (Yitzy) Halon, and Danielle (Jack) Hurley; and great-grandchildren Cali and Wesley Golden, and Bradley Bentzion Halon. Private services will be held March 22, 2022 in Tampa, FL.
