WOLFE, Herbert N., It is with a heavy heart that the family announces the passing of Herbert N. Wolfe of Kissimmee, on Sunday, October 14, 2007. Herbert was born in Massachusetts but lived in Florida for 50 years. Herbert was the son of the late Irving and Pauline Wolfe. Beloved husband of Pat, of Kissimmee, and caring father to daughters Sheila W. Carroll, Kissimmee and Sheri P. Wolfe, Orlando, as well as his brother, Alvin B. Wolfe (Susan) and brothers in law, Sandy Finman (Robin) and Shelly Finman, as well as many nieces and nephews. Herbert served in the Air Force in Tampa, where he met his wife, Pat. Herbert was a gradute of the University of Tampa. He worked in telecommunications for 40 years. Herbert had a love for flying gliders and earned his private pilot's license at the age of 67. He flew his last flight on the morning of his death, and as always, landed with a smile on his face. Herbert was a strong supporter of the Space Program since 1958 and belonged to several organizations including the Orlando Space Society in which he served as past Vice President, the National Space Society and was a Fellow of the British Interplanitary Society for the past 50 years. Herbert had a great love for his cats and had several adoring felines over the years that provided much affection and joy to him. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Herbert's memory to the Building Fund at Congregation Shalom Aleichem, P.O. Box 422275, Kissimmee, FL 34742-2275.
