Harriet Krentzman

Harriet Winet Krentzman passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 with her children by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Krentzman, her grandson, Steven Slater, and her brother, Alan Winet. Harriet is survived by her devoted son,Bruce Krentzman of Tampa, FL and her loving daughter, Marilyn Slater of Birmingham, AL. Grandson, Mark Slater and great-grandson, Dylan Slater of Atlanta,GA. Sister-in-law and friend, Jean Krentzman, of Plant City, FL. Also her ex-son-in-law, Barry Slater of Birmingham, AL. Harriet was born in New York City in 1923 to the late Gertrude Palmis and Mortimer Winet. Harriet met her late husband, Richard while vacationing in Tampa with her girlfriend, Esther Weiss in 1946. Six months later Harriet and Richard were married in New York and were together for fifty-three years. Harriet's sunny disposition and quick wit will be greatly missed by all of her friends and neighbors. She volunteered at her Synagogue for several years and always had wonderful stories of those days. Graveside Services will be held May 16 at 10:00am at Myrtle Hill Cemetery followed by a memorial celebration at 11:30am in the Synagogue Chapel and a Shiva Lunch in the social hall at Congregation Rodeph Sholom, 2713 Bayhsore Blvd. The family requests that contributions in Harriet's memory be made to Congregation Rodeph Sholom, 2713 Bayshore Blvd. Tampa, FL 33629.
