Gloria Stern-Ellis

STERN-ELLIS, Gloria Sue, age 78 of Palm Harbor, FL. died Friday, January 8, 2016. Mrs. Ellis came to Palm Harbor 22 years ago from her native, St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Harry and Naomi Goffstein. She was a former member of the United Hebrew Congregation of St. Louis, MO and was a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek in Tampa. Gloria was an avid Rays and Cardinals fan but was mostly devoted to her family. She was the "Best mom ever." She was preceded in death by her first husband, of 19 years, Bernard Marvin Stern. Survivors include her beloved husband of 32 years, Phil Ellis, daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy & Tony Minetti, Ellen Stern & Brian Kutza, son and his spouse, David Stern & Alejandro Shepard, step son, Michael Ellis and wife Sandy and step daughter, Shari Ellis, brother, John Goffstein, grandchildren, Rachel Minetti, Kendra Kutza, Simon Ellis, Rebekah Ellis, Nathan Lee, Ashley Lee and Dawn Ellis and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, 1:00 PM at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 West Swann Avenue, Tampa with interment on Wednesday at noon at Beth Hamedrosh Hagadol Cemetery in Ladue, MO.
