Gene Davis

DAVIS, Gene, age 90 of Tampa died Saturday, March 13, 2010. Mr. Davis was born in New York and came to Tampa in 1946 from Atlanta after serving in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He operated the National Distributors , liquor & wine distribution company for over 50 years. He was a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek and the ROMEO'S. Survivors include his beloved wife, The Honorable Helen Gordon Davis, daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie Davis of Atlanta and Karen Davis & Fred Stuart of Philadelphia, PA, son and daughter-in-law, Gordon Davis & Larena Lacayo of Tampa, grandchildren, Gene & Jacqueline Davis, step grandchildren, Laura, Ivannia & Giannina Lacayo, several nieces, nephews, close friends and colleagues. A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 W. Swann Avenue, Tampa, FL. Rabbi Richard Birnholz will officiate. Interment will be private.
