LeVine, G. Bruce, age 81 of Tampa, died peacefully surrounded by family on September 4, 2013. Mr. LeVine came to Tampa in 1956 from his native Chicago. When he arrived in Tampa, one of his first friends, a native of New York, said "welcome to nowheresville". Bruce worked in the family business, Tampa Wholesale Plumbing Supply, until the company was sold in 1986, when he retired. Bruce was the President of the Tampa Optimist Club in 1964, and a longtime member of the Tampa Sports Club and the Krewe of Santa Yago. Bruce was a lifelong golfer, sportsman and thoroughbred aficionado. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Francine. Survivors include his daughter Ellyne (& Richard) Myers, son Dennis (& Francine) LeVine, daughter Susan (& Michael) Edgerley, together with eight cherished grandchildren who will miss their Poppy. Funeral services will be held on Monday, 10:00 AM at Congregation Rodeph Sholom, 2713 Bayshore Blvd., Tampa. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Rodeph Sholom or Lifepath Hospice.
