BRITT, Fred age 58, of Tampa died Saturday, August 25, 2007, unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family. Fred was born in New York and came to Tampa 40 years ago to attend the University of Tampa where he earned his dual degrees in Economics and Psychology. He was an entrepreneur and was presently engaged in numerous business enterprises including: Tampa Bay Real Estate Investment and Development, Country Squire Estates Custom Homes, FABCO International, was a board member for AC4 Solutions (a communications defense contractor), along with other real estate, investment and marketing ventures. Fred was a devoted husband, son and father dedicating all of his heart and most of his time to his family. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and coaching baseball and his passion were politics and international affairs. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, Past president of the National Alumni Assn. for the University of Tampa, Past President of Tampa Alpha, member of Leadership Tampa, Committee of One Hundred, Chamber of Commerce, was among the founders of the Ye Royal Krewe of Sparta, Theta Chi Fraternity and Congregation Ohev Shalom. He will be forever missed by his beloved wife and companion of 25 years, Nancy, adoring mother, Bee Newman, devoted sons, Thomas and Joel, loving daughters, Kristin, Jessica, Colleen and Jordan and cherished granddaughter, Brielinn. A memorial service to celebrate Fred's life will be held Tuesday, 4:30 PM at Congregation Beth Am, 2030 West Fletcher Avenue, Tampa. Rabbi Jason Rosenberg will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Harvey Schonbrun, Trustee of the Fred Britt Memorial Fund, 1802 N. Morgan Street, Tampa, FL. 33602, to benefit the American Heart Association and the Freedom High School Baseball Program.
