Fernando Colón

COLÓN, Fernando, 89,  of Northport passed away on January 25, 2021. Fernando moved to Florida from Merriville, Indiana in 1994. He worked as a Roll Grinder at an industrial steel factory. He also was in the Army.  Fernando's hobbies included gardening and music. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Esperanza, his son Fernando Colón Jr., his 6 daughters, Maria Castillo, Hilda Cruz, Lydia Chevere, Gloria Buzatu, Sonia Rivera and Gladys Diana, sister Violeta Colón-Rivera, 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. A viewing will take place at Segal Funeral Home on Friday, 1/29 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM,  with a funeral service following immediately after at 11:00 AM. Interment with full military honors was held at Sarasota National Cemetery.
