Eva Bencze

BENCZE, Eva Judith, age 88 of Tampa died Sunday, April 4, 2010. Mrs. Bencze came to Tampa six years ago from her native, Hungary. She was a university language professor of French and Russian and was a Holocaust survivor. She was energetic and strong willed and was a devoted mother to her surviving son, Dr. Steven Bencze of Ottawa, Canada and her daughter, Dr. Katherine Bencze of Tampa, five grandchildren her cousin, Michael Albert of Tel Aviv, Israel, nephew, Michael Furst of New York and many friends including Dr. Judith Szentivanyi and Sylvia Krone. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 1:00 PM at Gan Shalom Cemetery with Rabbi Robert Judd officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Palm Gardens of Tampa or University Community Hospital- Fletcher.
