Erni Goldstein

GOLDSTEIN, Erni, age 64, of Tampa, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2011. After a courageous battle with MDS, she passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 27, 1946 to Jeanne and Dan Bakofen of New York, New York, she is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Rick Goldstein, daughter and son-in-law Jodi and Tim von Jess and their two children Mason and Sawyer, son and daughter-in-law David and Laura Goldstein and their two children Dylan and Kyle, and sister Alene Dixon. Her professional life was driven by her passion for working with the elderly and included positions with Hospice, Jewish Family Services, and as a Geriatric Care Manager. She is remembered for her grace, humor and love of cooking, knitting, all things French, and in her own words "her love of raising her children."

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Erni's life on December 11, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. at Aston Gardens (12951 West Linebaugh Ave., Tampa). It's Erni's desire that donations be made in her honor to either LifePath Hospice or Moffitt Cancer Center (please specify Hematology or Bone Marrow Transplant Department).
