Elihu Bernstein

BERNSTEIN, Elihu B., age 92 of Tampa died Saturday, February 21, 2009. Mr. Bernstein was born in Charleston South Carolina and came to Tampa in 1944 from Burlington, North Carolina. He was a WWII veteran having served in the Army Aircorp and was a graduate of Duke University. Mr. Bernstein worked for Bulova Watch Company for 45 years and was a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Margie. Survivors include his son, Dick Bernstein of Tampa, daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn & Fred Schwartz of Atlanta, sister, Betty Mae Perlman of Charleston, SC., and four grandchildren, Stephanie & Asher Bernstein and Julie & Jenna Schwartz. Graveside services will be held today, (Monday) 2:00 PM at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Rabbi Richard Birnholz will officiate.
