Dr. Kathryn Kuehnle

Dr. Kathryn (Kathy) Ferris Kuehnle, age 69, died August 19th in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Walter and Mary Kuehnle (deceased), and loving mother to John and Peter Evans, Grandmother to Christopher, Hannah, Quinn, and Sophia, and sister to Christopher ("Kit") Kuehnle. Dr. Kuehnle earned a PhD. In Psychology from the University of Minnesota and was a recognized expert and a published author and co-author of both books and articles in her field of child abuse. As a respected professional and world traveler, she gave time and support on mission trips to those in need. She was a tireless advocate for children and families in crisis. Family, friends, professional associates, and those she served, will remember her charitable disposition, loving heart, and courageous determination for living. As a lifelong supporter of the humane treatment of animals she asked that any donation in her name be made to the World Wildlife Fund, or the Humane Society of the United States.
