Dorothy Rosen

"Dot" was born in St. Paul, MN to Louis and Frances Chase. She attended public schools in St. Paul and was married to Milton D. Rosen on Oct. 26, 1947. She worked in women's hosiery sales for 40 years. In 1985, Dot and Milton retired to Tampa, FL. to be near their only child, Stephen L. Rosen, and his wife, Lynn Rosen, and their grandchildren, Christy Rosen Clement (David) and Leslie Rosen. While living in Tampa, they were also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Ally Clement and Nathan Clement.

Dot was a great dancer and an avid bowler. She knew the lyrics to many old songs and loved to sing them to her family.

She is survived by her above listed family as well as her sisters, Beatrice Lechtman and Goldie Effress. The family will have private service Friday March 6, 2009 at 10:30 am. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell FL. where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Milton. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Weinberg Village or Menorah Manor.
